![]() To solve this we created a user for the share with a password which does not expire on the server and mapped this connection on the Windows Credential Manager just put the server IP or DNS name if it's reachable and input the credentials. The only problem was 1 legacy app that needed a number of shared files to work and be constantly updated (until it was upgraded to web-based recently). ![]() All files were moved to Microsoft SharePoint Server 2016 and OneDrive and all his apps where web-based so it wasn't an issue. We had a scenario around 2 years ago where the client wanted to eliminate the local DC completely and just use Azure AD.
